Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Base Tech LLC ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the Poddi mobile application for iPhone (the "App") and the website at poddi.aibasetech.com (together, the "Service").

The short version: we do not run analytics, we do not sell data, and we do not show ads. Bluetooth scanning and any location data you choose to share happen entirely on your device — we never receive them. The only personal data we ever see is what's necessary to deliver and bill the Poddi+ subscription.

1. Who we are

The data controller responsible for any personal data processed in connection with Poddi is:

AI Base Tech LLC
Email: podi@aibasetech.com

2. Information we process

2.1 Bluetooth scan data — processed locally only

To find devices around you, the App uses Apple's Core Bluetooth framework to listen to public Bluetooth advertising signals broadcast by nearby devices. This includes:

This data is processed entirely on your iPhone. It is not sent to us, it is not stored on any server we control, and it is not shared with third parties. Saved devices and your find history live in the App's local storage on your iPhone and are removed when you delete the App.

2.2 Location data — processed locally only

If you grant the App location permission, Poddi uses Apple's Core Location framework to record the coordinates where you last found a device, so the App can show that location on a map the next time you search for it. Specifically:

Location data is processed entirely on your iPhone and stored only in the App's local storage (iOS UserDefaults). It is never transmitted to us, never stored on any server we control, and never shared with third parties. Granting location permission is optional — the App's core scanning and radar features work without it. You can revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Poddi.

2.3 Subscription & purchase data

When you start a Poddi+ free trial or subscription:

We do not receive your name, email address, postal address, or payment-card details from Apple or RevenueCat as part of the subscription flow.

2.4 Diagnostics & crash reporting

We do not embed any third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or crash-reporting SDK in the App. If you have Share With App Developers enabled in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share aggregate, anonymized crash and usage data with us through its standard developer reports. You can disable this at any time in iOS Settings.

2.5 Communications

If you contact us at podi@aibasetech.com, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond. We keep this correspondence only for as long as needed to provide support and meet our legal obligations.

2.6 Website

The website poddi.aibasetech.com is hosted on Firebase Hosting. Firebase may collect server-side request logs (including IP address and user-agent) for the purposes of security, abuse prevention, and operating the hosting platform. We do not place advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or analytics cookies on the website.

3. Why we process this information

4. Permissions the App requests

We do not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, calendar, motion sensors, or health data.

5. Sharing & international transfers

We share information only with the limited set of processors listed below. They act under contractual data-processing agreements, may transfer data internationally (typically to the United States), and rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards where required.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

6. Retention

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including in the EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to:

To exercise these rights, email us at podi@aibasetech.com. Because we hold so little data about you, in most cases we'll need you to send the request from the same address you use for support, or include enough information for us to identify your subscription record with our processor.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

8. Children

Poddi is not directed at children under 13 (or under the equivalent age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

The smallest attack surface is the one that doesn't exist: most data stays on your device. For the limited subscription data we do route through Apple and RevenueCat, those providers maintain industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't store data we don't need.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects when changes took effect. For material changes, we will provide notice in the App or on the website before the changes apply.
